The Beginning

The NY-yritys course has started in our school, and I'm really excited. I'm fairly interested in being an entrepreneur, but I haven't really felt like I've been learning enough about it during the theory classes, so I figured I should take this optional course to better understand what it takes to be an entrepreneur in Finland.

I turned 21 in August, and I was born in Canada, New Market. I've moved back and forth between Canada and Finland. I started showing an interest in handicrafts (especially crocheting and sewing) at a young age. I'm bilingual (if not almost multilingual), but I feel more comfortable writing in English, as Finnish has a lot of serious grammar rules that I have yet to memorize.
I did high school in Finland, and moved on to Ingman College of Crafts and Design (Ingmanin käsi- ja taideteollisuusoppilaitos) to study sewing and fashion.

I've already started to do some prototypes of what I might end up selling, but I'm finding that the idea is getting more and more refined. I'm getting ideas all the time about what might make it better. Also, the teachers in my schools have been giving me some feedback on my ideas, and I have to admit, they do make a good point.
